3kW Solar System Price Philippines (2026), With and Without a Battery

We priced every part of a 3 kW solar system from Philippine seller listings on 14 October 2026: six 550 W panels, a 3 kW grid-tie or 5–6 kW hybrid inverter, one battery, rails, clamps, cable and breakers. Parts alone come to about ₱64,000–₱94,000 without a battery and ₱139,000–₱200,000 with one. Listed 3–3.5 kW packages run ₱168,000–₱270,000. Here's the line-by-line build-up for homes in Leyte and Biliran.

On 14 October 2026, the parts for a 3 kW grid-tie solar system (six 550 W panels, 3.3 kWp) added up to about ₱64,000 to ₱94,000 at Philippine sellers' listed prices. Add a battery and a hybrid inverter and the parts came to about ₱139,000 to ₱200,000. Complete 3 to 3.5 kW packages that sellers list with installation ran from ₱168,000 (grid-tie) to ₱260,000–₱270,000 (hybrid with battery).

Magkano ba talaga ang 3kW? A 3 kW system is the size many smaller Leyte and Biliran homes end up with. Most price pages give one round number. This one lists every part we priced, the seller, and the date we checked, with and without a battery, so you can read a quote line by line. It's a price post for the 3 kW size only. Our 5kW solar system price and 10kW solar system price posts do the same build-up for bigger systems, and the evergreen solar panel price guide explains how to read a quote. If you're not sure 3 kW is your size, start with how many solar panels do I need.

Prices checked 14 October 2026 (Philippine time) on each seller's own website or package flyer. They change often. Listing a product isn't an endorsement, and Solar Leyte earns nothing from these links. None of the totals below is a MACC price or a quote.

Parts totals are rounded sums of the itemised tables below. "Per watt" divides by 3,300 W of panels for the parts build-ups (6 × 550 W) and by each package's stated panel watts. Parts-only totals leave out labour, design, permits, delivery and some small items, so they are not what you'd pay for a finished system. More on that gap below.

What a 3 kW system is made of

A "3 kW" system usually means about 3 kW of panels (kWp). With today's 550 W panels, that's 6 panels, or 3,300 W (3.3 kWp). ABC Solar Electronics' 3.0 kW grid-tie package uses six 500 W panels (3.0 kWp), and its 3.5 kW hybrid uses six 585 W panels (3.51 kWp). Here's what each part does:

  • Panels. The biggest single cost in a grid-tie system.
  • Inverter. A grid-tie inverter (no brownout backup) or a hybrid inverter (backup once you add a battery). See grid-tie vs hybrid.
  • Battery (hybrid only). One 5–6 kWh module is the usual starting point at this size.
  • Mounting. Rails, clamps and roof feet. In typhoon country, don't skimp here (typhoon guide).
  • Cable and protection. PV cable, connectors, surge protection, DC and AC isolators, breakers.
  • Labour, permits and paperwork. Not in the parts tables. Every finished system needs them.

Six 550 W panels of the AE MD-144 size (2,278 × 1,133 mm per Reflections Solar Solutions) take about 15.5 m² of roof, panel area only (6 × 2.278 m × 1.133 m, our calculation). Your installer needs extra room for edge clearance and walkways.

The cheapest and dearest panel differ by ₱4,300 each, or ₱25,800 across six. On a 3 kW system that's about a third of the whole grid-tie parts bill, so ask each seller for the exact model number, the datasheet and the warranty in writing.

A 3 kW grid-tie inverter is cheap: ₱20,000 to ₱25,000 on these listings. LakaSolar's Deye 3.6 kW page lists "4.7KW max PV power", which leaves room for 3.3 kWp of panels. Its listed size and weight (1006 × 516 × 326 mm, 105 kg) don't look like a 3.6 kW inverter, and a second LakaSolar listing for the same model shows ₱362, so confirm the price and model in writing before you pay. Whatever the brand, ask the installer to check the inverter's maximum PV input against your panels.

There's no small hybrid on these lists. Deye makes a 3.6 kW version (SUN-3.6K-SG03LP1-EU appears in the spec table on ABC's 5 kW listing), but none of the sellers we checked listed a price for it on 14 October. The smallest hybrids with a price were 5 to 6 kW, at ₱50,000 to ₱63,200. ABC's own 3.5 kW hybrid package uses a 5.0 kW hybrid too. A bigger inverter isn't wasted: it handles more load in a brownout, and you can add panels later up to its PV limit. Specs and service notes are in our Deye vs Solis vs SRNE comparison and the hybrid inverter price guide.

For what one battery runs: our solar battery price guide worked out that essentials only (a ref, four LED bulbs, two stand fans and Wi-Fi) need about 0.9 kWh for a 4-hour evening brownout and about 2.5 kWh for a 13-hour daytime outage, with margin. One 5 kWh-class battery covers either with room to spare. Aircons at night need much more (solar for aircon).

With a battery (hybrid): low ₱139,417 and high ₱199,617, with a 5 to 6 kW hybrid inverter ₱50,000 to ₱63,200, one 5 to 6 kWh LiFePO4 battery ₱42,000 to ₱63,200 and cable and protection ₱15,125. Parts only, before labour, permits and delivery. Sources: PH seller listings checked 14 Oct 2026; totals are Solar Leyte calculations.

All totals are Solar Leyte calculations from the listed prices above.

What stands out:

  • The battery roughly doubles the parts bill. Going from grid-tie to hybrid adds about ₱75,900 (low) to ₱105,300 (high) in parts: a dearer inverter, the battery and a little more cable. The panels stay the same.
  • In a 3 kW hybrid, the inverter and battery cost more than the panels. They're ₱92,000 to ₱126,400 together, against ₱25,200 to ₱51,000 for six panels.
  • Mounting and protection are about ₱18,000 to ₱22,000. Small, but not where to cut. A cheap clamp or a missing surge protector is what fails in a typhoon or a lightning storm (solar fire safety).

All-in-one option. Beyond Hygiene Asia lists the Hopetrek AIO-SL-HP6KB5-A1 (a 6 kW hybrid inverter and a 5 kWh battery in one unit) at ₱117,600, VAT inclusive. With the same panels, mounting and hybrid cable list, that's about ₱165,000 to ₱191,000 in parts (our calculation), inside the hybrid range above.

The cheaper 24 V route, and its catch. ABC lists an Axpert 3 kVA 24 V inverter-charger with an 80 A MPPT at ₱35,000 (its page title says VM II, the description VM III). With LakaSolar's 25.6 V HIGEE120 battery (₱24,000), the inverter and battery come to ₱59,000, against ₱92,000 to ₱126,400 for a 48 V hybrid and 51.2 V battery. The catch: it's an off-grid inverter-charger. ABC's listing says it can supply loads from the grid or PV and work with utility mains or a generator, but says nothing about exporting. Units like this aren't grid-tie inverters, so don't plan on net metering with it. Check its PV input limit too, since it may not take all six panels. Our hybrid inverter guide explains the difference and off-grid solar has 24 V builds.

Grid-tie parts for 3.3 kWp without a battery: about ₱64,000 to ₱94,000. Listed grid-tie packages: Phsolar 3.3 kWp ₱168,000 and ABC Solar 3.0 kW ₱170,000 (VAT exclusive). For comparison, 5 kW hybrid packages with the same 5.12 kWh battery: GetSolar ₱265,000 and ABC Solar 5.5 kW ₱280,000.
Packages cost more because they include labour, permits, delivery and support. Sources: Phsolar, ABC Solar Electronics, Takiyo Japan and GetSolar listings, 14 Oct 2026; parts ranges are Solar Leyte calculations.

₱ per W is our calculation from each listing's stated panel watts (3 kWp for Takiyo). ABC's 3.0 kW page says VAT exclusive; its 3.5 kW hybrid page doesn't say.

Not in the table: Phsolar's hybrid bundle page lists 3.3 kWp variants at ₱244,160, ₱275,160 and ₱311,880, but one variant named "with battery" is described as "without battery", and some bigger variants cost less with a battery than without. We couldn't tell which price includes what, so we left them out. GetSolar's smallest package is 5 kW.

Small systems cost more per watt. On the same Phsolar grid-tie page, the 3.3 kWp package works out to ₱50.91 per watt, the 5.5 kWp package (₱232,000) to ₱42.18, and the 11 kWp package (₱413,000) to ₱37.55 (our calculations). Labour, permits, travel, the inverter and the protection gear don't shrink much when the system does.

Hybrid packages barely get cheaper below 5 kW. ABC's 3.5 kW hybrid (₱260,000) is only ₱20,000 less than its 5.5 kW hybrid (₱280,000), which has four more panels and a 6.0 kW hybrid with the same 5.12 kWh battery. GetSolar's 5 kW hybrid (4.96 kWp, 5.12 kWh) is listed at ₱265,000 all-in. If you want a battery, price a 5 kW hybrid package next to the 3 kW one before you decide (5kW price post).

Why a package costs more than the parts. Phsolar's 3.3 kWp package at ₱168,000 is about ₱74,000 to ₱104,000 more than our grid-tie parts build-up (our calculation). The listings don't break that difference down. It covers design, labour, the electrical permit and inspection, net-metering paperwork, delivery, small electrical items, warranty handling, and the seller's margin. Don't treat our parts total as the "real price". Use it to check that a quote's equipment line looks sensible.

Two things to ask a Cebu or Luzon seller. Does "free installation" cover Leyte or Biliran, and who pays the freight and the team's travel? And who handles a warranty claim in Eastern Visayas if the inverter fails in year three? Our installer checklist covers the paperwork to ask for.

Paperwork that adds to the price

  • Net metering. To get credit for daytime exports you apply with your co-op. The steps, documents and fees are in our BILECO net metering guide and LEYECO II net metering guide.
  • Zero export. Zero-export means the system sends no power to the grid at all. Since August 2026, DOE Department Circular DC2026-08-0017 lets a zero-export system skip the ERC certificate of compliance (COC), but only if it serves a household, a clinic, a hospital or another medical facility. Shops, farms and offices still need a COC. You also need a building permit unless your LGU accepts the existing one, and if the system is connected to the grid you must notify the co-op using the Annex A form. The only setups allowed to export are separate plug-and-play micro systems of 1 kW or less, and they get no credit for what they send out (plug-and-play and zero-export rules).
  • Electrical permit and CFEI. LGU steps and the 3/7-day rule are in our electrical permit / CFEI post.
  • Ask whether the quote includes these. It's one of the questions in our solar panel price guide.

What a 3 kW system saves at BILECO and LEYECO rates

Using the same planning number as our panel sizing guide, each kWp makes about 105 kWh a month in Leyte and Biliran. So 3.3 kWp makes about 347 kWh a month (346.5 kWh, our estimate). ABC's 3.0 kW grid-tie listing says about 440 kWh a month and ₱2,000–₱3,000 bill savings; its 3.5 kW hybrid flyer says ₱4,000–₱6,000 a month. Ours is lower on output because we derate for shade, heat, dust and cloudy months.

If you used every kWh at home, here's what 346.5 kWh would be worth at September 2026 rates (our calculation):

Bar chart of what about 347 kWh a month from a 3.3 kWp solar system is worth at September 2026 residential rates if all of it is used at home: BILECO about ₱6,559, LEYECO IV about ₱5,880, LEYECO V about ₱5,677 and LEYECO II about ₱4,868. At BILECO with half exported at a credit of about ₱9.50 per kWh, about ₱4,926 a month once net metering is approved; with zero export, where only the half used at home counts, about ₱3,280. The rates are approximate and not on the same VAT basis; fixed charges are extra.
Value of about 347 kWh a month at Sep 2026 rates. Sources: Solar Leyte rate trackers (PRESYO-PH and co-op rate posts); Solar Leyte calculation.

These are approximate per-kWh rates, and the four aren't on the same VAT basis, so treat the table as a rough comparison. Fixed monthly charges come on top, such as the ₱5 residential charge at LEYECO IV and LEYECO V.

Most homes don't use it all at home, especially if nobody is in during the day. Say half is used at home and half is exported. At BILECO, with the exported half credited at about ₱9.50/kWh (approximately BILECO's blended generation charge, per PRESYO-PH for September 2026), the 3.3 kWp system is worth about ₱4,926 a month, or ₱59,106 a year (173.25 × ₱18.93 + 173.25 × ₱9.50, our calculation). Against the Phsolar and ABC grid-tie packages above (₱168,000 to ₱170,000), that's a simple payback of about 2.8 to 2.9 years, if rates hold. Three things to keep in mind. The export part only counts once BILECO approves your net metering application and swaps your meter. Export credits can only bring your bill down to zero, and any extra is carried over to the next month rather than paid out. And fixed charges stay on the bill whatever the panels produce.

Without net metering (zero export), only the half you use at home counts: about ₱3,280 a month or ₱39,355 a year at BILECO, so payback stretches to about 4.3 years on the same packages (our calculation). Rates may not hold either: BILECO moves every month. Our is solar worth it post runs the payback at lower rates, for evening-heavy homes, and for hybrids.

What about the battery? It doesn't make the savings bigger by itself. At these prices it's mainly brownout insurance: the ₱76,000 to ₱105,000 of extra parts buys you lights, fans, the ref and Wi-Fi when BILECO or LEYECO goes down (why the Visayas grid keeps tripping).

Is 3 kW the right size?

Our sizing guide puts a home using about 300 kWh a month at roughly 2.9 kWp, so 3 kW fits homes around 250 to 350 kWh a month. If your bill is closer to 500 kWh, or you run aircon most afternoons, look at the 5 kW price post. For a big multi-aircon house or a shop, see the 10 kW price post.

How to compare two 3kW quotes

  • Same size? Compare total panel watts (kWp), not "3 kW" on the cover page. Six 500 W (3.0 kWp), six 550 W (3.3 kWp) and six 585 W (3.51 kWp) are not the same system.
  • Brand and exact model for the panels, inverter and battery, with datasheets.
  • Inverter size and type. A 3 kW grid-tie, a 5 kW grid-interactive hybrid and a 24 V off-grid inverter-charger are very different machines at very different prices.
  • Battery in usable kWh, not just the label Ah, and its warranty in years and cycles.
  • Mounting: rail brand, how many roof attachments, and how they're fixed for typhoon winds.
  • Protection: DC and AC surge protection, isolators, breakers and grounding listed as line items.
  • What's included: installation, freight to your town, the electrical permit, net-metering application, monitoring.
  • Warranties: product warranties from the makers, plus the installer's workmanship warranty, and who to call in Eastern Visayas.

How much is a 3kW solar system with battery? In parts, about ₱139,000 to ₱200,000 with one 5–6 kWh LiFePO4 battery and a 5–6 kW hybrid inverter. Listed packages: ABC Solar Electronics 3.5 kW hybrid with a 5.12 kWh battery ₱260,000; Takiyo Essential 3 kW hybrid listed at ₱270,000 (the page also says "starts at ₱280,000" after assessment).

How many panels are in a 3kW system? Six 550 W panels make 3.3 kWp. ABC's packages use six 500 W (3.0 kWp) or six 585 W (3.51 kWp) panels. They take about 15.5 m² of roof, panel area only.

How many kWh does a 3kW solar system produce? About 315 to 347 kWh a month in Leyte and Biliran for 3.0 to 3.3 kWp, using our conservative 105 kWh per kWp. Shade, roof direction and weather change that.

Can a 3kW system run an aircon? A 1 HP inverter aircon running 8 hours a day uses about 113 kWh a month (from our sizing guide), so in monthly kWh a 3 kWp system can cover it plus a modest home load, as long as the aircon runs mostly while the sun is up. At night or in a brownout you need a hybrid and a much bigger battery. Details in solar for aircon.

Is it better to get 3 kW or 5 kW? Grid-tie, 3 kW is cheaper in total but costs more per watt. With a battery, the listed 5 kW hybrid packages we found were only ₱5,000 to ₱20,000 more than the 3.5 kW one, so compare both.

Why is a package so much more than the parts? Packages include labour, design, permits, delivery, small electrical items, warranty support and margin. Those don't show up in parts prices.
