Yes, you can buy a decent solar panel on Lazada or Shopee, but only if you check three things before you pay: whether the watts in the title are physically possible for the panel's size, who the seller is (Mall store or ordinary marketplace seller), and how many days you have to return it. When we looked at 272 Lazada solar listings on 26 October 2026, at least 24 panels or kits had "500W", "600W" or "1000W" in the title for ₱479 to ₱1,385. Branded 100 W panels in the same results cost about ₱1,800 to ₱3,200. A real 1,000 W of panels for that price doesn't exist.
This guide is for small setups: a light and fan, a phone-charging station, a piso wifi or a portable power station. If you want rooftop solar to cut your BILECO or LEYECO bill, see our solar panel price guide instead. For which small panels are worth buying and how to size them, see our small solar panels guide.

What we found on Lazada (26 October 2026)
We ran six Lazada searches on the evening of 26 October 2026 (Philippine time): "solar panel 100w", "200w" and "300w" (two pages each), "flexible solar panel" (two pages), "solar panel set" and "solar panel". That gave 272 different listings. We aren't naming sellers here; the point is the patterns.
What we counted | Result |
|---|---|
Different listings | 272 |
LazMall listings | 71 (26%) |
Shipping from Luzon | 235 (118 from Bulacan alone) |
Shipping from the Visayas | 1 (Iloilo); none from Leyte or Biliran |
Shipping from overseas | 14 |
Showing a struck-through "original" price | 257 (94%); median 2× the selling price |
Solar lights and floodlights with a watt figure in the title | 49 |
Panels or kits titled 500–1,000 W priced under ₱1,400 | at least 24 |
"Complete set" kits titled 3,000–12,000 W | 8, priced ₱198 to ₱4,088 |
Three things stand out. First, the big watt figure in a kit title is often the inverter, not the panel. "4000W inverter complete set" tells you nothing about the panel, which may be 15 to 100 W. Second, a "100W" solar floodlight isn't a 100 W panel. That number is usually a lamp rating, and we cover those in our solar street light guide. Third, almost everything ships from Luzon, so plan for a long delivery time to Biliran or Leyte (more on that below).
Shopee's site didn't let us collect listings automatically, so we have no Shopee numbers. The same checks work there.
Price per watt: online vs seller websites
Price per watt is the fairest way to compare. The chart below puts the Lazada listings next to prices we have already checked on Philippine seller websites.
Panel type (where checked, when) | Price per watt |
|---|---|
Rooftop 550–630 W panels, seller websites (8 Oct 2026) | ₱7.64–₱15.45 |
Small 50–200 W panels, seller websites (15 Oct 2026) | ₱15–₱44 |
Branded 100 W rigid glass panels, Lazada (26 Oct 2026) | ₱18–₱32 |
Branded 100 W flexible panels, Lazada (26 Oct 2026) | ₱21–₱23 |
Panels/kits titled 500–1,000 W under ₱1,400, Lazada (26 Oct 2026) | ₱0.80–₱2.73 per claimed watt |
The chart below shows the same ranges side by side.

Small panels always cost more per watt than rooftop panels, because the frame, glass, junction box and shipping cost nearly as much for a 100 W panel as for a 600 W one. So ₱18 to ₱32 per watt for a 100 W panel is normal. Something under ₱3 per claimed watt is far below even the cheapest full-size rooftop panel (₱7.64 per watt). That's your warning sign. Rooftop prices are in our 550W–620W panel price guide.
Check 1: Is the wattage physically possible?
Panels are rated at standard test conditions: 1,000 W of sunlight per square metre at 25 °C. Even the best module we found, AIKO's 690 W Comet 3N72, is rated at 25.5% efficiency. No panel turns more than about a quarter of the sun's energy into electricity. That means:
Maximum watts ≈ length (m) × width (m) × 1,000 × efficiency
Panel size | At 16% (typical flexible) | At 20% (good small mono) | At 25.5% (best on the market) |
|---|---|---|---|
60 × 60 cm (0.36 m²) | 58 W | 72 W | 92 W |
120 × 50 cm (0.60 m²) | 96 W | 120 W | 153 W |
109.3 × 58.2 cm (0.636 m²) | 102 W | 127 W | 162 W |
107 × 100 cm (1.07 m²) | 171 W | 214 W | 273 W |
Real panels sit where you'd expect. Renogy's 100 W flexible panel measures 1093 × 582 mm and is rated 15.7%. Bolinao SolarHomes' 200 W panel is 1070 × 1000 mm, which works out to about 18.7%. One Lazada listing we saw, "100watts 18V (120×50cm)", comes to 16.7%: believable.
Worked example (made-up listing). A "300W flexible solar panel" lists its size as 1050 × 540 mm.
- Area: 1.05 × 0.54 = 0.567 m²
- At 20%: 0.567 × 1,000 × 0.20 = 113 W
- Even at a record 25.5%: 145 W
- To make 300 W it would need 53% efficiency, roughly double anything on sale.
Verdict: you'd be paying for a panel of about 100 W. If the listing shows no size at all, ask the seller before you order. A real seller knows it.
The chart below plots real panels against those limits.

One more thing: "25% high efficiency" in a flexible-panel title usually means the cell efficiency. The module (whole panel) is lower, like Renogy's 15.7%. Use the panel size for your check, not the headline percentage.
Check 2: Does Vmp × Imp add up?
Every honest listing or panel label shows Vmp (voltage at maximum power) and Imp (current at maximum power). Multiply them and you should get the rated watts:
Panel | Vmp × Imp | Rated |
|---|---|---|
Renogy 100 W flexible | 20.7 V × 4.84 A = 100 W | 100 W |
Sunworth 100 W (ABC) | 18.6 V × 5.38 A = 100 W | 100 W |
Bolinao SolarHomes 200 W | 33.22 V × 6.02 A = 200 W | 200 W |
If a "300W" panel shows 18 V and 5.5 A, that's 99 W. Believe the label on the back, not the title. Also check the power tolerance. Good rooftop panels promise 0 to +3%; many small panels say ±3%. And Fraunhofer ISE's lab found that, on average, modules it tested in 2023 delivered 2.2% less than their nameplate, so even honest panels can come in slightly under.
The Voc (open-circuit voltage) also matters for your charge controller. A 12 V battery system with a PWM controller needs a panel of about 18 V Vmp; see our MPPT vs PWM guide.
Mall vs marketplace: your return window
The days you have to report a problem depend on the store type.
Where you buy | Return window | Notes |
|---|---|---|
LazMall store | 30 days | Change of mind allowed if unused, with tags, seals and original packaging |
Lazada marketplace seller | 7 days | Same unused-and-sealed condition for change of mind |
Shopee Mall store | 15 days from delivery | You can still file after tapping "Order Received" |
Shopee ordinary seller | 7 days from delivery | Same; Shopee takes 7–9 working days to process a request |
Lazada's general buyer terms separately list 7 or 14 days, depending on the product, for items that arrive damaged, faulty, wrong, incomplete or not as advertised. Always check the return terms on the listing itself, because they can differ.
Shopee estimates 5 days for delivery from Metro Manila to the Visayas and 6 days from elsewhere in Luzon, before any courier delay to Naval or a far barangay. With a 7-day window, open and test the panel the day it arrives:
- Video the unboxing, including the waybill and the label on the back of the panel.
- Check the glass, frame corners and junction box for cracks.
- Put it in full noon sun and measure Voc with a multimeter. It should be close to the label's Voc.
- If you can, measure the short-circuit current (Isc) too. A "100W" panel giving well under its labelled Isc in clear noon sun is suspect.
- If anything is off, file the return in the app before the window closes, with your photos and video.
Lazada's buyer terms say risk passes to you on delivery, and that its remedies include repair, replacement or a price reduction capped at 15%. So document everything.
Your rights if the panel isn't as described
The Internet Transactions Act (RA 11967), signed in December 2023, covers online sales by businesses. Sales between two private persons are not covered.
- The goods must match the listing's description in type, quantity and quality, and be fit for the purpose stated (Sec. 23). A "300W" panel that can make only 100 W isn't what was described.
- You can ask for repair, replacement or a refund under the Consumer Act, and the seller takes the item back at no cost to you (Sec. 20).
- Use the platform's own complaint process first. If it isn't resolved in 7 calendar days, you can go to DTI (Sec. 24).
- The seller is primarily liable (Sec. 25). Lazada or Shopee can also be liable, e.g. if it failed its diligence duties (including checking sellers), ignored a takedown order, or kept selling unsafe or prohibited goods after notice (RA 11967 Secs. 26–27).
- You have 2 years to claim damages (Sec. 28).
Under the Consumer Act (RA 7394), new products carry an implied warranty of at least 60 days and up to one year. If an express warranty is broken, you can choose a repair or a refund; repairs must be done within 30 days (RA 7394 Art. 68(f)). You can file with DTI through consumercare.dti.gov.ph, email consumercare@dti.gov.ph or call 1-DTI (1-384).
The DTI also published a draft order in May 2026 to require a PS mark or ICC sticker on solar panels, inverters and batteries. As of 26 October it's still a draft, so today's listings don't have to carry either. Our Tier 1 panels guide explains the draft and how to check a panel's IEC certificates.
Flexible vs rigid: warranty matters more than price
Flexible panels are light, but their warranties are short. Renogy's 100 W flexible panel carries a 5-year materials warranty and 5 years at 90% output. A rooftop panel like AIKO's Comet 3N72 carries a 30-year linear performance warranty. For anything bolted down outdoors in typhoon country, a rigid aluminium-frame glass panel is the better buy. Our panel lifespan and warranty guide has more.
Quick checklist before you click "Buy"
- Panel size in mm is listed, and size × 1,000 × 0.2 is close to the claimed watts.
- Vmp × Imp matches the rated watts.
- The title's watts belong to the panel, not the inverter or the lamp.
- Price is above about ₱15 per watt for a small panel.
- Mall store, or a seller with a real address and clear warranty terms.
- You know the return window and can test the panel on arrival.
- You keep the chat, the listing screenshot and the receipt.
For a full rooftop system, an online bundle can't give you sizing, permits or net metering. Use our installer checklist to compare local quotes.
FAQ
Is it safe to buy solar panels on Lazada or Shopee?
For a small panel from a Mall store or a branded seller, usually yes, as long as the size and Vmp × Imp checks add up. The risk is mostly inflated wattage and short return windows, not safety.
Why is a "1000W solar panel" only ₱1,000 online?
Because it isn't 1,000 W. Rooftop panels from seller websites cost about ₱7.64 to ₱15.45 per watt on 8 October 2026, so a real 1,000 W of panels costs several thousand pesos. Check the size: a genuine 1,000 W would cover about 4 to 5 m².
Pwede ba ang Lazada solar panel sa bubong para mabawasan ang bill sa BILECO?
Dili gyud kini para sa net metering. A grid-tied rooftop system needs a grid-tie inverter that meets net-metering technical requirements, an LGU electrical permit and CFEI, and the co-op's approval (with an ERC certificate of compliance). A Lazada panel is fine for a light, fan or phone charger on a battery, but not for cutting your BILECO or LEYECO bill. See our net metering guide.
What should I do if the panel produces less than advertised?
File a return in the app within the window, with your unboxing video and multimeter readings. If it isn't resolved in 7 calendar days, file a complaint with DTI under RA 11967.
